Rocco Forte's Villa Kennedy voted Top Business Hotel in Europe
Aug 25, 06 1:57 am
The September 2006 issue of CNBC European Business magazine has named Rocco Forte’s Villa Kennedy the number one business hotel in Europe. The hotel, which opened earlier this year on 1 March, has raised the benchmark for hotels not only in Frankfurt, but Europe as a whole. Villa Kennedy beat the George V in Paris, The Lanesborough in London and the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, as well as last year’s winner Hotel Adlon in Berlin, to take the top prize. Describing Villa Kennedy, CNBCEB wrote “From every angle, this hotel surpasses one’s expectations. Separating a great hotel from a merely good one are character and details. All Villa Kennedy’s rooms have unusually high levels of natural daylight, for instance, and the discreet provision of a dedicated workstation in every room does away with the need for a business centre. Such wi-fi wonderment lifts the standard for this sort of hotel to a new height”. Despite having been open for less than six months, Villa Kennedy has already won two other awards. The architectural design of Villa Kennedy claimed the prestigious Hotel & Tourism award at the MIPIM trade show in Cannes in March and in May the hotel was voted Best Business Hotel in Frankfurt by EURO magazine. CNBCEB’s award is a testament to Rocco Forte Hotels’ dedication to providing world-class service and facilities for the modern business traveller. For not only did Villa Kennedy come top of CNBCEB’s survey, but another four Rocco Forte Hotels were named in the top 20 European Business Hotels. They are Le Richemond in Geneva, Brown’s Hotel in London, Hotel Amigo in Brussels and The Balmoral in Edinburgh.

Holiday Camping Stories

Camping check lists make every trip much more enjoyable in several ways:
First, the whole family gets involved together in making out your camping check list. Everyone's excitement and anticipation will increase. Making out your check list months ahead is one way of really starting your vacation early.Second, check lists help you organize and pack your camping gear. The check list reminds you what to bring, and where to pack it. When you are getting ready to go, you can easily see what errands you need to run in order to pick up those last few items.Third, check lists help you remember to take everything with you. No one likes to get to camp and find out they forgot some important item.Fourth, check lists help you remember what not to bring next time. Every trip is a little different, so make notes on your check list about what camping gear you used, what you didn't, and what you wished you had taken. This lets you plan to make your next camping trip even better. Finally, good check lists change continually. As your experience grows you will want different items. For instance, you might decide that a propane stove is better for your next trip than cooking over a fire. Other times, you might leave the stove at home and bring a dutch oven to use over the fire. These check lists are excellent starting points for your trip. Print them out, and then add or delete gear from the list as you plan your trip.
